Farewell Post?

I had a couple of unrelated things happen lately that combined to put rather a grinding halt to this blog.

In the first, I was scammed into buying some illegal software. I’m still pissed off about it but that doesn’t ring the bell nor get my money back. Since the beginning of my Internet adventures, spotting scams and alerting my readers has been important to me. Obviously, I’m not the expert I believed myself to be.

In the second happening, a dear friend I’m rapidly losing to a battle with COPD told me that if I’m going to “waste my time writing for the Internet . . . write about something that matters”.

Ah, the old ‘what really matters?’ dilemma. What does really matter? Shall I write about air? Water? Maybe a religion?

Yet, in a way, I can see that he’s right. Time is precious. I should write about what really matters.

This is going to be some interesting research. I’ll be back in a few years.

I think that anything we do to help others improve themselves is a mission worth embarking on. How insignificant others consider it to be is all relative.

I agree that time is very important but, what a great way to spend it by warning and informing people about life on the Internet.

Agreed with the above comment, what you do here does matter, and sad to see you unsubscribe from the WPM feed.

There were many times when I got frustrated with posting on my blog, I wanted someone to care as much as I did. I’m thankful that I’ve continued because I was able to help someone in an unlikely way.

I am sad to see you end, but overall you must follow your heart and be off to the next adventure. Remember that everything happens for a reason, and you creating and writing on this blog was a necessary step for what will come next…

Hi Adam,

Did unsub from the WordPress Modder email list BECAUSE I subscribed to the RSS feed:) I find that I’m getting more done and following things that I want to follow a little more closely by keeping my inbox in control.

I’m not done with WordPress by any means. It’s a great tool and I want to learn all I can about it.

As far as this blog, I’m not done with it either. Research is in progress. I’ll soon be back with an answer to the age-old question “What really matters?”. LMAO
